I had a great time at my gradnparenst- my grandma’s surgery went extremely well and she is feeling great. She was one of 16 (!!!) to have it done on Friday and her doctor gave her a small bouquet of flowers and and photo of her with the doctor.
She was thrilled.
I stayed on my “newly formed” plan all weekend. My grandparents do a modified South Beach Diet (becuase of my grandpa’s diabeties) and they eat about 1/3 of what I usually do, so it was easy to stay drinking my water and eating tons of veggies. I did go to the farmer’s market and get a TON of corn on the cob (15 ears for us to share), and now I am going to give you TMI but I have eaten WAAAAAY too much corn the past few days and my stomach is KILLING me! I have 7 ears left and I am going to share them with a co-worker.
The same co-worker is brining me a 1/2 BUSHEL of peaches from Michigan tomorrow along with some of the last blueberries of the season. If anyone has any good recipes I would appreciate them as a 1/2 bushel is a TON of peaches!
Now to the goals:
- Eat 5 servings of Fruits and Vegitables a day
- Walk 30 minutes a day
- Eat a healthy breakfast each day including protein and veggies/fruit
- Drink at least 44oz of water a day
- Think one good thought about myself each day, write it down and look at it alot
And after a lot of thought, I am going to go back to counting points. Though my doctor wants me to chill out with my thoughts about weight loss, I think really have. I also have been checking out the Wendie plan (thanks to you all that have posted it, I think I saw it on strawgirl’s site first) and I think I will start it on Tuesday, my normal weigh in day. Though I still am not going to weigh in thanks to the suggestion of my doctor. I will wait to do that until my next appt with her. I will post more about the Wendie Plan tomorrow night when I have time.
OK, let me vent for a few minutes now. I ordered a new Dell laptop a few weeks ago and they gave me a delivery date in September. I now have a delivery date for OCTOBER. I am DYING for my new laptop. It should be here this week but now I have to wait for another month. Something about the color (red) of the laptop. I am pissed. GRRRRR.

Peaches – There’s a recipe in one of my WW recipe books I’ll dig out tonight and post in the am for you. It looks very yummy.
I’m sooo glad that your grandma’s surgery went well and that you had a good visit with them.
That much corn would hurt my tum, too. Bless your heart!!
I’m thinking about giving Wendie another try, too. Last time I tried it I got a little carried away and instead of a high point day I had a high point week. Oops!!
I’d be frustrated that my awesome red laptop wasn’t in yet, too! I bet it’s sooo cute! Maybe you’ll get it soon…
Have a great day!!
