Sciatica? What the hell is that?

So I am back – wow! Can’t believe I am going to post 2 days in a row! :-)

Food for the day:

  • Starbucks Skinny Hot Chocolate- grande
  • banana
  • 8 reduced fat triscuts
  • 2 pieces of reduced fat cheddar cheese
  • 3oz of ham
  • orange
  • water – lot of it!

I haven’t had dinner yet, but I think I am going to have shredded wheat with cinnamon and splenda, 1/2 cup milk and an orange- I am not very hungry tonight.

I have been having a lot of pain in my left butt cheek and some pain and numbness in my left leg the past few weeks. I haven’t been to a chiropractor for over 5 years, and thought a good adjustment might help the pain. Well, it turns out something is pressing on my sciatic nerve on the left side, causing pain and numbness in my butt and leg. I caught it early, so that is good to hear. I got a good adjustment today, and I felt 100 percent better after.

Did anyone watch the Biggest Loser last night? I cannot believe Nicole knocked her teeth out by diving into the shallow end of the pool! I am sad to see B go home, but he looks great!

Are you as pumped as I am for a new episode of Project Runway tonight?? :-)

  • I feel your pain with the sciatica!! I’ve been suffering this week too. It’s bad, I know!!!

Yes, I watched the BL!! I was soooo incredibly sad to see B go…I hate that the red team is gone. And I LOL at Nicole knocking out her teeth. I was glad she was okay though. But I still thought it was funny!!!

  • So what do you think caused the sciatica? Often it can be a twist or stretch that does it. Maybe you started to do some exercises that you hadn’t done before? A method for relieving the pain which i have found very useful, should you ever get it again, God forbid! is EFT. You can do it yourself quite easily by tapping with your fingertips on the acupressure points
