I went to an amazing holiday concert tonight- Dave Koz and Friends Smooth Jazz Christmas. If they are coming close to you, run, don’t walk to this concert. Koz’s friends are Jonathan Butler, Kimberley Locke (the reason I went to the concert in the first place, she is from American Idol Season 2- she was the runner up behind Ruben and Clay and she is an amazing singer- and she just recently lost 40lbs through Jenny Craig!!) and former Chicago Bulls player turned Jazz guitarist Wayman Tisdale. I am telling you – best.holiday.concert.ever.
Kimberley and Johnathan’s duet of O Holy Night had me in tears and covered in goosebumps it was so amazing. It is my favorite holiday song and I hope they do a recording of it soon so I can have it forever. Johnathan is an amazing singer and guitarist- when I returned home, I downloaded his Live in South Africa album and his new Christian album (though I am usually not a Christan music lover).
Anyway, if you get a chance to see them, please do. It really helped me get into the holiday spirit!
