Set the scene: Two 14 or 15 year old girls, all dolled up in designer clothes and carrying really expensive purses and cell phones, sitting next to me on Saturday. They had to be Northern suburb bitches. They were making fun of the “poorly” dressed people on the bus and talking general smack about everyone that walked past them. They thought they were SO COOL and SO Smart. It made me feel so good to overhear this conversation between them….
Bitchy Teen #1: OMG, I am so super tired and crabby lately. It SOOOOOO has to be the weather and the season.
Bitchy Teen #2: OMG, I totally know what you are talking about. I am SUPER depressed lately. I totally saw something on CW last night about why we feel this way. It TOTALLY has something to do with winter being here.
BT#1: I know. It is SAD or something.
BT#2: Yeah, like SAD Disorder or whatever.
BT#1: Yeah, It TOTALLY stands for Seasonal Attitude Disorder.
BT#2: Yeah, totally. No wonder we are so crabby.
PS: for those of you that don’t know, SAD is Seasonal AFFECTIVE disorder. I love teens.
