Oh.My.Gawd.
The bootcamp kicked my ass and took names.
I thought I was gonna die. Really. DIE!
(note: I was SOOO happy to not be the biggest girl there! SO HAPPAAAY!!)
I was the 2nd biggest, but that is OK!
The bootcamp is full of lunges, squats and running in place. Mt thighs are SCREAMING right now. Did I mention squats?!?!?!
I made it through though. I did ALL the things the teacher asked me too (…though modified. Who the HELL makes girls do boy pushups? and DIAMOND pushups??)
I ran when she told me to run. I did squat thrusts. I did mountain climbers. I did crunches. And more crunches. And even MORE crunches!!
Though, to be completely honest, I feel Okay right now. Not “go run a mile” but “my calves wont let me go on tippy-toe right now but I think I will be able to sleep tonight without them cramping up on me”.
I had to use my inhaler immediately when I got home (forgot it of course) because I was really wheezing after. I felt much better after using the inhaler.
I asked the teacher how long it would take to feel like the warmup is actually a warmup and not a workout in itself. She told me about a week and a 1/2 of classes (that is 5 classes).
I can do 5 classes. I can have her kick my ass for that long before giving up.
The class is only 50 minutes. I can make it through 50 minutes of ass kicking.
In the paraphrased words of out new president (THAT SOUNDS SO GOOD TO SAY)….
YES. I. CAN. YES. I CAN. YES. I CAN. YES. I, CAN.
The “real” class starts Feb 2.
