Just a quick check in from my hotel– I am about halfway to Chicago.
I started the day at my last day at the office, turned in my keys, then went to my final walkthrough with the rental comapny. I am VERY DISAPPOINTED in the way they do business, and NEVER EVER want to rent from another company again– but that i for a different post at a different time.
Anyway, I went and picked up an extremely pissed off cat at the vet/boarders and we started on our way.
The drive was pretty uneventful – I love driving through the mountains while the leaves are changing. I really wish I had a “real” camera, but I took a few snaps with my cell phone while I was on the road– I hope you can see the changing colors.
I had booked a room in Clarkston Clarksville (for some reason I keep calling it ‘Clarkston’- strange) and I am glad I did, because about 4 miles from the exit it started DOWNPOURING.
I ran into the front desk of the hotel to check in (leaving the cat in his carrier for a few minutes because it was raining so hard) and when I came out to get him, the car stunk to holy hell.
He had made what I call an ‘F-U Poo’*— and not in his makeshift litterbox. ALL OVER HIS CARRIER- His fabric pop-up, hard to clean carrier.
Thank JEBUS I had thought to put down two tarps- one under and one between the cat and his carrier. He was COVERED in it.
I think he even might have rolled in it.
**Shakes head**
I got him in his small carrier, then I brought it into the room, then put him into the tub for a bath.
Talk about a pissed off cat. I got the growls, claws and bites he had been holding onto for 3 days while he was boarded.
He is now sitting at the end of the bed all fluffy and clean. And purring. I think he forgives me. I hope he does at least.
I will head out again tomorrow; hopefully it will be done storming by then.

Check out my Fit's MPG! 43.3 --AWESOME!!
*A ‘F-U Poo’ is the poo that the cat/dog does when they are nervous/scared/pissed/angry – it is part ‘regular’ poo, and part super-duper stinky diarrhea.

Ohhhh… if my cat did an FU poo there would be a LOT of baths in her future just to teach her. Although, I also suspect that your cat was stressed and pooped out of stress instead of anger towards you. I’m sure she’s loving the attention now though!
PS–Although I ended up getting the Civic instead of the Fit last year, I ADORED the Fit’s MPG display!
