TodaysMama and Provo Craft are giving away a sleighful of gifts this holiday season and to enter I’m sharing this meme with you.

1. What 5 items are on your holiday wish list this year?

This year, I hope Santa brings me

  • A Cannon Rebel Xti DSLR
  • A Cricut Expressions Machine (really, I love that thing)
  • A Job
  • A Coach purse
  • Camera accessories

2. What is your favorite handmade gift you have received?

  • I would have to say (though it is not a gift, per say,) the handmade greeting cards I get each year from friends. Some put so much work into them- Beautiful!

3. What handmade gift have you always wanted to tackle?

  • I have always wanted to knit scarves for everyone. My mom is a great crocheter, but I cannot seem to pick it up!

4. What was the best Christmas gift you received as a child?

  • Hand’s down- the Big Bird (non-washable back then) finger painting set when I was 2 or 3 from my (then childless) uncle. I got to see it for like 5 minutes, use it once, them my mom outlawed it in the house. She got him back when he had kids. :-)

5. What items are on your kid’s wish list this year?

  • I don’t have kids, but my 4 year old niece is ALL about Barbie this year, and her 6 year old twin brothers are still all about Transformers. They always get PJs, and books from me. Ok, and a few toys too. :-)

6. What is your favorite holiday food?

  • Another easy question- mashed potatoes and green bean casserole. Oldies but goodies.

7. What will you be hand-crafting for the holidays?

  • I will be making a few gifts (“bubble” magnets) but this year, with my move from ATL to Chicago so close to the season, I am going to be stretched a bit thin time-wise.

8. What is your favorite holiday movie?

  • I love these questions- I don’t have to think about them! National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation- I can quote the whole thing and own it on VHS, have 2 dvd’s and it is saved to TiVo. No, really- I am obsessed.

9. Favorite holiday song?

  • Baby it’s Cold outside.

10. Favorite holiday pastime?

  • Going around neighborhoods and seeing Christmas lights. Also, going to Kriskindlemart in the loop and getting a collectors mug.

I Jogged!

Day three of three without breakfast- I just can’t seem to get to sleep and/or get up in the morning. I had a wicked bout of insomnia AGAIN last night- I finally got to sleep at 6am this morning. Not too helpful when I am supposed to go to a job fair to look for a job at 9am. I was SO exhausted when I woke up.

Also, I spent about a hour last night before trying to sleep to find something respectable to wear for the mass interviews.

Nothing.

Fits.

After running to target for black socks ( I have no idea where in the mess of my room/storage unit where all my black socks went) I came home and decided to WORKOUT (look at me). I spent about 30-35 min on the treadmill and while tired, actually ran/jogged for a few minutes!

4 to be exact!;-)

Now, you may remember that I wrote about having EIA here -Exercise-Induced Asthma. Jogging, high impact aerobics, bootcamp and even swimming (the chemicals kill my lungs) cause me to wheeze, cough and have breathing issues for around 2-3 hours after exercising. It is uncomfortable, but I work around it. I have been to the doctor and was given an inhaler. It works, but I have to use it a few times during workouts.

Guess what I misplaced during the move?

While I know I shouldn’t jog w/o the inhaler, I am at the place in my workouts where I want to ramp it up a notch. I called in a new Rx so hope to have it soon. I am really ready to move more.

I start my fitness bootcamp on November 30th, right as I will be doing an assessment on how I did during the month of November on my own.

Here is what I ate today-

Breakfast: Nothing. Again.

Lunch: 2 lot fat hot dogs, mustard, green beans, cracked pepper, water.

Snack – Fruit 2day and cottage cheese.

Dinner: Not so healthy. 2 fried chicken strips, 5 french fries, ketchup, diet soda.

I am going grocery shopping tomorrow because I need to add some variety and fresh fruits and veggies to my diet.

Ok- off to put in earplugs and take a sleeping pill– I WILL SLEEP TONIGHT!

PS: my pedometer hit 8836 today–4147 being aerobic steps! :-) Getting closer to 10,000!

Another Short Post- I’m ti-red!

I went with a friend to see a sneak preview of the new movie “Pirate Radio” tonight- if you love to laugh, hear great rock music from the late 60′s and enjoy a good story line, go see it!

For meals, here they are:

  • No breakfast (again) woke up at 11! I really needed the sleep I guess.
  • Lunch:cottage cheese, Fruit 2Day, water, pretzel crisps, LC cheese (wasn’t very hungry)
  • Dinner: Ate at a local stir fry place, lots of veggies, chicken breast, brown rice, ice tea.

I am BEAT and I have to got to a job fair tomorrow morning at 9am- I need to be upbeat, happy, nice and, most importantly, AWAKE!

To bed I go!
