Kindergarten CRAZY!

Life is nuts.

My Residency (kinda like a student teaching gig but for the whole school year) in Kindergarten starts in a few days, I am tired, excited and tired. Did I mention tired??

Grad school is great- straight A’s still- I am up to 7. Waiting for 3 more classes from this Summer to get their grades in (yes, I took NINE grad school courses this summer. NINE). Hoping for A’s across the board. I really worked hard for them.

One of those A’s was in MATH! I can’t believe it. I worked so hard (in my most difficult subject) and it paid off!!

Anyway, I am off to find something to eat and then head to bed. I am POOPED!

Fitbloggin, ’11– HERE I COME!

(logo from the www.fitbloggin.com page)

Are you going too?

The super early bird tickets are now available!!

I had A BLAST last year, so I hope you will be able to get a ticket!!

Oh my gosh!

I forgot to post the most important information of all– I found out my mentor/residency placement for the school year this week! DUH!

I will be teaching KINDERGARTEN in a school on the North West side beginning in early September! I am really excited– I was hoping for K or 1st grade so I got what I hoped for!! :-)

YEA!

RIP Mr. More: January 1994 – June 2010

The love of my life, my beautiful furchild, has gone to the rainbow bridge.

While I will miss him terribly, I know that letting him go was the best thing I could do for him.

His endocrine system began shutting down: 3 years ago, he was diagnosed with diabetes and I was told I would only have about 2 good years with him.

Well, 3 great years, 1 move to and from Atlanta and 3 new kitty playmates later, his body began to give out. First hyperthyroidism, then, last week, he was diagnosed with pancreatitis and stage 3 kidney failure.

At 16 years old, there was nothing more I could do for him other than hold him close, scratch his chin, say goodbye and let him go.

Goodbye my sweet boy. Rest In Peace.

WordCamp 2010

I am at WordCamp Chicagobright now. I missed the morning sessions (was doing 5k + 2 extra ‘parking’ miles’ for the Girls on the Run race this morning–mor on this later) but am learning alot this afternoon. Sat next to Pasta Queen for 2 sessions (love her!) and heard Scott Stawarz speak on AIOSEO (all in one search engine optimization) and was glad to see him–he was one of my favorite speakers at Fitblogin.

Hope all of this info will help me make my blog the best it can be.

Let me tell you though, while it is very interesting, I am kinda lost. A lot of this is over my head. :)

1/2 Marathon training…

short and sweet- I walked 3.7 miles today for training and had a healthy breakfast. Lunch and dinner were not so healthy, but I didn’t plan ahead.

On the graduate school front, I found out I am a math class short and need to make it up this summer. Crap. I am online now trying to find a suitable course.
Did I mention math is not my favorite subject?? :-)

Happy Mother’s Day!

Babies- The Movie

Disclaimer: I am a Bzz Agent and was given alot of cool information regarding the movie Babies to share with you. I saw the trailer (and LOVED IT!) in the theater BEFORE Bzz reached out to me.

I don’t know if you have been to a movie lately, but if you have you have probably seen the trailer for the new movie Babies, coming out Mother’s Day weekend. I went and saw Alice in Wonderland on opening day and thought the trailer was SO FREAKING CUTE. Below is the trailer if you haven’t seen it yet:

Cute, right? I love that the director followed 4 babies from different parts of the world. Meet the babies:

Bayar from Bayanchandmani, Mongolia

Hattie from San Francisco, California

Mari from Tokyo, Japan

Ponijao from Opuwo, Namibia

I hope you have a change to see the movie, out in theaters May 7th! If you do, stop by and leave me a message telling me what you thought of the movie…I can’t wait to see it!
